One of my favourite choral pieces performed beautifully!
I keep coming back to this performance. It’s so beautiful!
Beautifully done!!!❤
I was in the Concordia Choir in Moorhead, Minnesota in 1971 when Paul J Christiansen penned this arrangement. We read it from xerox copies and performed it at the 1971 Christmas Concerts for 24 thousand people. He was a master of this type of arrangement. This might have been his favorite song near the end of his 49-year career at Concordia. Excellent job choir.
Thanks! Our conductor was in the Concordia Choir when PJ passed away in 1997, and sang at his memorial service as a member of the Choir. PJ was truly a master of beautiful simplicity.
@@WLUsingers what's your conductor's name?
@@hansgordy Shane Lynch, Concordia class of 1998
@@WLUsingers ... I didn't know him obviously. You had an excellent director.
Absolutely incredible. I am moved by the care that this conductor and choir takes with every possible moment. I am stunned and so appreciative for this. What the jewel! Everyone needs to hear this :-)
Thank you for your kind words! It is a wonderful piece, and we had such a great time performing it throughout our tour :)
BRAVI TUTTI!!! I am seriously blown away. Shane, my man - awesome interpretation!! And the singing - heaven. Big hugs y'all.
Thank you, Richard! We are honored by your kind words and absolutely love singing your music (:
Absolutely beautiful!
Amazing
Петь в масках это ужасы сегодняшнего времени
Мы не рабы!
God bless you all
Seems to me you did a pretty nice job, hoping you will never lose passion for having fun performing and entertain us, fans need you guys, even if they do not realize it, this music is the most healing medication anyone should experiment from now on
Gracias Dios por la música

I've been fascinated with Beethoven symphony orchestra , is simplicity and outstanding renditions makes the difference.
Wonderful, majestic and his 9th symphonic all!!
Beethoven again proves that he was and still really genius.
Impressive!!! God bless you all.
Wunderbar
This wonderful performance has the scent of Beethoven's aesthetics and genius

Congratulations! This is really touching
O. M. G. This is awesome.
Not a day goes by that I don’t miss singing in this choir. Watching this video always brings me right back to those risers.
So beautiful!!
Cielo, l'orchestra è scordata!! I corni poi non beccano neanche le note😱 e non riescono a suonare insieme. Terribili i fiati!! Pessima esecuzione dell'orchestra. Pessima. Bravo il pianista.
Rest in peace, Jonathan. Your grace, musicianship, and love of your craft will be sorely missed.
Thank you. I miss my son every day.
The tenor is amazing! also glad that the basses hit the Bb1 at the end.
Decent performance given many members look pretty young. The pianist and the first flautist are outstanding. Female singers voice sweetly. Videography could’ve been better.
theyre all 18 - 22
Waly Waly Waly, in Prince Street,of Edinburgh, a lady sang to my camcorder, in 1989 summer.歌詞 The water is wide, I can't cross o'er And neither I have wings to fly Give me a boat, carry two And both shall row My love and I Love is gentle, love is kind The sweetest flower when first it's new But love grows old and waxes cold And fades away like morning dew There is a ship that sails the sea She's loaded deep as deep can be But not as deep as the love I made I know not how I'll sink or swim The water is wide, I can't cross o'er And neither I have wings to fly Give me a boat that can carry two And both shall row My love and I And both shall row My love and I
I discovered this piece quite late in life. It is up there with Beethovens best.
You are very good and Gjeilo is a truly genius! My choir sang "The Rose" and "Days of Beauty" with new arrangements, both adapting for mixed choir, with male and female voices and making spectacular videos! We were able to reach the same Gjeilo who was thrilled. Write this in the search: you will surely like them! Corale Novarmonia - Days of Beauty (O. Gjeilo) SATB Choir Corale Novarmonia - The Rose (O. Gjeilo)
Have look at Alice Sara Ott if you want a brilliant performance of opus 80
It would have been better to give the work its full title.... "Beethoven Choral Fantasia for violin, cello, piano and Chorus, Opus 80"
Beethoven Fantasy in C minor for Piano Chorus and Orchestra Op. 80, and then there is the Triple Concerto in C major, Op.56 for violin, cello, and piano.
@@JWP452 Bravo, you have it - I cannot understand why the Triple concerto does not receive more acclaim than it does... the 1970 Karajan / BPO recording (with Richter, Rostropovich and Oistrakh) is for me the ultimate.
Should be acapella. Listen to the Seekers. That is how it should be done.
It was written with instrumentals included.
Ahhh... variety is the spice of life.
Horrible singing,
🤗
Decent performance, but camerawork was subpar.
This is perhaps the best live performance I have seen of this piece! Well done!
Disgusting execution.
Absolutely Stunning.
I miss singing with you all so much. I can’t wait until an alumni event so I can join you all again.
Miss performing at Bridgewater College in both the Concert Choir and the Chorale, the show choir.
The tenor doesn’t sound good
So beautiful!
Just fabulous.
I do agree totally- excellent performance and brilliant piano-playing.....
When I hear this all I can think bout it Jesus. Music came from Him. Something this beautiful couldn’t have come from a bang. But rather been created by a Supreme Being named Jesus Christ 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Could have at least tuned the piano... Damn
